What Anti Aging Really Means

Different people have different ideas of the term antiaging. To most people, especially women, antiaging means buying anti wrinkle skin cream for erasing the wrinkle skin on their faces and also to remove dark circles under eyes and doing everything else needed to rejuvenate their facial skin to restore their youthful appearance. The medical community, however, is more concerned about finding medical breakthroughs that can slow down or reverse the aging process and delay death. Antiaging in this perspective is a wide term which can include the prevention or cure of certain deseases like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, parkinson’s and alzheimer’s diseases that significantly shorten the human lifespan. Many people today are still uninformed of the many medical discoveries that had occurred that can really improve their health conditions. To them anti-aging is beauty-related and simply means getting back their youthful appearance. This concept provides an excellent opportunity to the business world especially the cosmetic industry as they introduce facial products and serums of all kinds all promising to restore youthful beauty. In reality, antiaging is a very wide term that encompasses a wide range of topics and this same term could have a different meaning to different people. For this reason, there is no such thing as an anti-aging fit-for-all wonder pill that can reverse or stop aging that works for everyone. Because of the diversity in background, culture, environment and lifestyle, no two human body are alike. And one man’s meat is another man’s poison. So whatever that works for someone may not necessarily work for another. In a very broad sense, anti-aging covers everything necessary to keep the body healthy, disease-free and maintaining its youthful vigour. This could involve maintaining healthy hair, youthful skin, healthy gums and teeth, a disease-free healthy body, flexible joints, good stamina and also an active sex life. Not everyone need help in every area in this anti-aging regime. Some people may be balding already in their thirtys while some may carry all their healthy hair to the grave. Some may be struggling from a very young age with decaying teeth while others have no oral problems at all. So it is up to each individual to examine their health conditions and determine which area requires attention at which point of time. With the many developments in anti-aging medicine, anyone should be able to find an anti aging solution to suit his/her specific need. Living a longer and healthier life will now no longer remain a dream.
